Playing rugby

All of our Structured Development Days and friendly matches start at 10.30. Players (well, parents or carers) should be aware that we have limited parking space, so they should arrive in plenty of time.

For away games coaches will advise on how to get to the ground (i.e. produce maps) or arrange a meet time in Foxbury Avenue to travel in convoy.

Parents and carers should be aware that once training has finished they then resume responsibility for their children. Youngsters should not be allowed to roam the clubhouse or grounds (or woods beyond), and any damage caused, whether to themselves, others or to equipment becomes the parents'/carers' responsibility.

Structured Development Day - (often called a Structured Fixture) a Kent-arranged session with other clubs, home or away, where it is recommended that joint training takes place before, maybe, a competitive match. The idea here is to allow the players to experience other training methods and give the coaching team other players to work with. We should not expect just to play matches.

IRB - International Rugby Board, oversees the running of the game. Works with the RFU (Rugby Football Union) in this country.
